Nutritional therapy can help you optimise your health and boost performance as well as help you lose weight and support a number of symptoms associated with ill health which can effect your every day life.

A Functional Medicine framework is used to assess the underlying causes of disease by treating the whole person, not just an isolated set of symptoms. It can incorporate the latest in genetic science, system biology, and an understanding of how dietary, environmental and lifestyle factors influence the emergence and progression of disease. It is a patient-centred and evidence based approach to health which recognises the biological uniqueness of all of us. Nutritional and lifestyle programmes are tailored towards maintaining health and promoting wellness. All my patients are empowered to take an active role in their health.

The Initial consultation

Prior to your first consultation I will ask you to complete a health and nutrition questionnaire along with a 3-day food diary. During this first meeting, I will go through your health questionnaire and gather details about your medical history, existing lifestyle habits and goals, health concerns, family history and your diet and eating patterns. Monitoring success is vital so I will also be asking questions about your current health and use this as a benchmark as we work through the programme . You will be given the opportunity to ask any questions which concern you and I will suggest dietary and lifestyle recommendations to take away. Away from this meeting, I will put together your personalised plan, tailored specifically towards your health objectives. You will receive this within 48 hrs.

Follow-up consultations

4-6weeks after our initial meeting, we meet again to review your personalised nutrition program in detail and explain any findings. This is when I start to really get to know you, your life, what drives you and the challenges you face in implementing the programme. I’ll also provide further information on nutritional recommendations, meal suggestions, recipes and supplementation as needed. Nutritional Therapy requires ongoing support. The number of follow-ups may vary between patients however I like to believe that just as we need regular check ups at the doctors or dentist it is important that we prioritise health and nutrition habits on an ongoing basis.

Programmes designed for you

It is essential that every nutritional and lifestyle programme is designed just for you to ensure that you get the results you want. I ask you to commit to a minimum of 3 consultations so that we have a timeframe within which to reach your health goals. Consultations can be based in your home, office, at my home practice in West London or via Skype.
